Apparently neopets not only managed to ditch the NFT bros, but with the closure of the Jumpstart brand weeks ago, neopets is now completely independent for the first time since the early 2000′s, got millions in a new investment deal and are currently installing a flash simulator so that all their games and animations work again.
Guys neopets was never scientologist, its brand passed through the hands of a company that turned out to be owned by a scientologist at one point but that only lasted a year or so in the early 2000s
people love it when lesbians are some guy until those lesbians are actually some guy.
people love lesbian masculinity, lesbians who use he/him and lesbians who are just some guy, and lesbians who call themselves boys and men and guys and dudes, and lesbians who are indistinguishable from men until they come too close to actually being men.
people love it when you blur the lines between gender, but they don’t want you to blur it too much, otherwise you’re not a real lesbian and you’re invading lesbian spaces. if you blur the lines too much, flirt with the concept of being a man too much then you might as well be committing a hate crime because you explored gender in the wrong direction.
accepting that gender is a spectrum includes acknowledging that yeah, that spectrum includes lesbian gender, and yes, sometimes lesbian gender overlaps with being an actual honest to god guy. this is not something that will change, so i recommend making peace with it.

the mods are volunteers, they weren’t paid nor did they ask for pay
what they’re upset about is that Takaia is pocketing all the donation money rather than using it to update and improve the site, plus a lack of communication on getting things done yet refusing to let more mods/staff pitch in, so they’re quitting as protest.
the moderators want the event to keep going for the sake of the participants, but ArtFight’s future is dubious unless Takaia cleans up their act.
so the tradition of af being down every year wouldn’t have been a tradition if it weren’t for irresponsible handling of funds…

hey pals!! i’m working on a filterable, tagged collection of picrew i like. right now there’s about 60 picrew (and other such makers such as those from neka or meiker) in there with tags for things like fashion, hair options, skin colors, specific features like horns or headscarves, and body types. you can search for multiple tags at a time and filter out tags you don’t want. the whole thing is organized in a big grid of sample results from the picrew in question, so you can see the style at a glance and click it for more images and the url, but you can change the view and organization system however you like.
